Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Memphis, TN)

Silverline Meadow Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for work orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
