Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Memphis, TN)

Redstone North Auto Group is a Memphis company supplying vehicle parts and service, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with warranty claims. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
