Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Memphis, TN)

We are growing our team at Redstone Forge Care Services Associates and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to family communication, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
