Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Memphis, TN)

Clearpath Bright Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Memphis, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 520 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with promotions. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
