Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Memphis, TN)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Haven Auto Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with warranty claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
