Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Kansas City, MO)

Amberfield Iron Press Partners is a printer and publisher in Kansas City serving local and national clients. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Track costs around print quotes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to paper stock, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with paper stock. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
