Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Kansas City, MO)

Westbrook Amber Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Kansas City, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory submissions, and clear open items. • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory submissions. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
