Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Kansas City, MO)

Greenridge Vale Staffing is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for temp assignments, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 33 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to temp assignments, and clear open items. • Track costs around timekeeping against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
