Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Indianapolis, IN)

We are growing our team at Northwind Sable Financial and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around account servicing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan applications, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
