Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Honolulu, HI)

Clearpath Juniper Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Honolulu, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to procurement, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with procurement. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Honolulu. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
