Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Nest Markets and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to online orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with online orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
