Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Grand Rapids, MI)

Lumen Keystone Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Grand Rapids, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 182 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Track costs around visit scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to care plans, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
