Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Fresno, CA)

Harborlight Birch Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fare systems, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
