Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Fort Worth, TX)

Clearpath Mill Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Fort Worth. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field visits, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around outage reports against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Fort Worth. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
