Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Fort Worth, TX)

Summit Mill Civic Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for procurement, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people based in Fort Worth. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around budget submissions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to procurement, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with procurement. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
