Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Fort Worth, TX)

Highbridge Linden Farms is an agricultural business based around Fort Worth, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 185 people based in Fort Worth. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around seasonal crews against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Fort Worth. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
