Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Denver, CO)

Harborlight Granite Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Denver plant, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around production lines against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to tooling, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with tooling. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Denver. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
