Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Columbus, OH)

We are growing our team at Summit Meridian Care Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to caregiver training, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with caregiver training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
