Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Cleveland, OH)

We are growing our team at Lumen Ashton Hospitality and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 647 people based in Cleveland. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to reviews and feedback, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Cleveland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
