Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Cleveland, OH)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Basin Banking Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around account openings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fraud alerts, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with fraud alerts. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Cleveland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
