Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Cincinnati, OH)

Bluepeak Keystone Civic Services works with county and city offices around Cincinnati. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. Benefits and stability attract long tenure. What you will do • Track costs around procurement against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to case files, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with case files. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Cincinnati. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
