Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Buffalo, NY)

Summit Ridge Medical is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for production lots, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 81 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around training materials against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with production lots. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
