Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Boston, MA)

Greenridge Pike Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Boston, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 457 people based in Boston. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to parts orders, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with parts orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
