Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Boise, ID)

We are growing our team at Lumen Lakeside Transit Planning and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around accessibility audits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fare systems, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Boise. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
