Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Boise, ID)

Westbrook Birch Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Boise area, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around service installations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
