Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Boise, ID)

Fernwood Rowan Environmental Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for weigh tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 36 people based in Boise. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to weigh tickets, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
