Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Baltimore, MD)

Lumen Ember Staffing is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for timekeeping, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around candidate screening against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to timekeeping, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with timekeeping. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
