Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Austin, TX)

Highbridge Ember Press is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for proofing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to proofing, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with proofing. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
