Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Austin, TX)

Bluepeak Pike Pharma develops and makes medicines in Austin, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in Austin. What you will do • Track costs around quality documentation against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
