Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Austin, TX)

Highbridge Rook Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Austin plant. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with production lines. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
