Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Austin, TX)

Foxglove Granite Manufacturing makes precision components in Austin. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people based in Austin. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around machine downtime against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
