Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Anchorage, AK)

Rivermark Vista Community Partners is a Anchorage charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around benefits enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with food distribution. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Anchorage. • We reply to every applicant.
