Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Anchorage, AK)

Cedar Sable Staffing places workers with employers around Anchorage, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around timekeeping against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
