Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Anchorage, AK)

Harborlight Stone Care Services Partners supports families and individuals in Anchorage with personal care and coordination, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to caregiver training, and clear open items. • Track costs around visit scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with caregiver training. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
