Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Albuquerque, NM)

Amberfield Haven Property Management is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for vendor invoices, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around maintenance requests against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vendor invoices, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
