Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Tulsa, OK)

Stonegate Harbor Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Tulsa. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Tulsa. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to claims, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around carrier rates against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Tulsa. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
