Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Tucson, AZ)

Harborlight Collective serves customers across Tucson with accounts, loans and payments, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Track costs around regulatory reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to payment disputes, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Tucson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
