Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Tucson, AZ)

Cedar Beacon Manufacturing is a Tucson manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around scrap and rework against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Tucson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
