Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Toledo, OH)

Highbridge West Arts Center Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for event logistics, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Track costs around exhibitions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to event logistics, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Toledo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
