Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Toledo, OH)

Amberfield Keystone Environmental Services Group is an environmental-services company in Toledo with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Toledo. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service complaints, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with service complaints. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Toledo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
