Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Tampa, FL)

Foxglove Timber Insurance is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for premium billing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Tampa. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to premium billing, and clear open items. • Track costs around catastrophe response against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with premium billing. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Tampa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
