Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Willow Auto Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with service appointments. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Seattle, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
