Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Sable Markets and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Track costs around pricing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with shrink and waste. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Seattle. • We reply to every applicant.
