Senior Accountant - audit preparation (San Diego, CA)

Harborlight Forge Legal Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for intake forms, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 980 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to intake forms, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around client files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with intake forms. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
