Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Salt Lake City, UT)

We are growing our team at Summit Corner Manufacturing and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with scrap and rework. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
