Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Salt Lake City, UT)

Ironwood West Care Services Partners is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Salt Lake City. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. We train and promote from within. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to care plans, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around licensing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with care plans. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
