Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Sacramento, CA)

Bluepeak Labs is a regional lender in Sacramento with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account openings, and clear open items. • Track costs around deposit accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with account openings. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Sacramento. • We reply to every applicant.
