Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Sacramento, CA)

Bluepeak Loom Construction Group builds commercial and industrial projects around Sacramento. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to project schedules, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with project schedules. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
