Senior Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Bright Meridian Farms is an agricultural business based around Tucson. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 45 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around packing house output against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to seasonal crews, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Tucson. • We reply to every applicant.
