Senior Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Clearpath Sparrow Farms is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for harvest schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around field records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
